RCTC

Well, I thought I'd add a new post since it has been a while... I've been BUSY, so give me a break. I started at RCTC one week ago, and so far i pretty much like it...A LOT. It gives you a feeling of independence, being in college. I actually don't really mind going to school anymore, like i did in high school. I really do believe it has everything to do with the class times. In high school, classes start at 7:40 in the MORNING. That is far to early to learn anything, at least for my brain. By having the classes later in the day (in my case, my earliest class is at 10:00 AM--on three days out of the week, and at 11:00 AM the remaining two days) I'm able to concentrate more, plus i know in the back of my mind i'll always be done with the school day by AT LEAST 2:50 (on only TWO days out of the week) the other days I'm out at:
Monday: done at 2:50 PM
Tuesday: done at 12:50 PM
Wednsday: done at 2:50 PM
Thursday: done at 12:50 PM
Friday: DONE AT 10:50 AM!!!!

It's amazing... and i love it. There are few people I know that go here and I've been able to talk to them occasionally in the halls, other than that i haven't had the time to really get to know anybody yet, and because of my introverted personality, it's been a struggle to try and break free of my "box." I'm planning on getting involved in the Christian Youth program, InterVarsity or something like that, hopefully I'll be able to get to know some people there.
Homework hasn't been TOO bad yet, but I'm anticipating a rise in the workload, but i think i'm ready. I hope...
As I type this, i'm sitting in a SH computer lab, and i have class in 15 minutes, so thats all the time i have for now, out.

pictures....

i can't figure out pictures.... can someone tell me how to put them on here... i could probably figure it out on my own but i'm just lazy...(DON'T FORGET TO READ THE BLOG BELOW!!) ;-)
I know that I'm not the best at updating, and most of the time it's because i feel my life is...boring. Nothing really exciting happens to me. Anyways, I'm here to kind of express myself today. I'm sick and tired of people saying how crappy it is to live in Rochester, Minnesota. IT'S NOT THAT BAD! Sure, i've been bored once in a while cuz there SEEMS to be a lack of fun things to do here, but people just don't look hard enough. The other night, my friends and i went downtown in the late evening, because we really had nothing to do. When we found nothing was open (go figure) i said, lets go up in a parking ramp. Just as a joke, but we did and we stopped at the top and just hung out there for a little while (so as not to get in trouble for loitering, we wern't sure if we were, but we wern't doing anything bad.) and we just looked out at the city and talked. It was a lot of fun. Then we turned on the car radio and danced around for a bit. So, in the end, when you hear someone say: "There's nothing to do in this town!" you can just shake your head and think: that just isn't a creative person... and go on your way, because, after all, anybody who reads this blog, was creative enough to find something to do! ok.

Fun Times and Stress...

Yes, I'm VERY sorry for all you people who seem to LOVE hearing about me. But I haven't posted in a while because of the fact that I have been INCREDIBLY busy. Last weekend, I went up to northern Wisconson to stay with my best friend, Dan's grandparents for a time of guns, fireworks, and bonfires. It was awesome. We never did get to shoot anything, but the fireworks were very cool. We also ate every night at this neat local restaraunt called the Covered Wagon. VERY good food. We came home on Tuesday, July 4th to watch the fireworks in Rochester. I went down to Silver Lake with the same people and some of their friends (we sat near the power plant so we were no where near the big fight (though it sounded exciting). Then I went and got "fitted" for my braces which I am having put on either tomorrow or the next day, I can't remember which. Ugh... braces... for a whole YEAR! Well it should be quite the experience. I am having the braces put on to prepare for my jaw surgery which hopefully will take place by next July (May or June if we're lucky!). I could really use some prayers for a safe surgery and that nothing goes wrong. I am excited but VERY nervous about it, I'm FINALLY going to be able to eat a bologna sandwich and GET the bologna!! That'll be a new experience. The day after that, which would put us at July 6th, I went to the midnight showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Which was fantastic! Although I think I liked the first one a little better. But it was amazing all the same. The next day, Friday, I went BACK up to Duluth (the grandparent's house in Wisconson was only about a half hour outside of Duluth), to stay with Dan's "aunt." I say "aunt" because she's actually Dan's late mother's best friend since 3rd grade. This aunt, and her husband, are basically the equivalent to the Chafoleous family in Rochester, to give you an idea of their fortune. They own basically half of Duluth. They were super friendly and their house was absolutley amazing. While there, we went on a harbor cruise, on the Vista Cruise Line (owned by this aunt and her husband) It was super fun. We also went shopping around town, including stopping at a head shop by the name of "Electric Fetus" (I got a t-shirt!). We also went to the Aquarium. It was a REALLY nice aquarium, probably one of the best museum-like places I've ever been. AND I touched a sting-ray! =) It was pretty nice weather while we were there. And I had an awesome time overall. We got back yesterday in the early evening. Now that gets us up to today. I started at my English class at RCTC, yuck. It has got to be the most boring and dragged out thing I've ever experienced! It's all stuff I learned back in 3rd grade! Plus it goes from 1:00 to 3:55 so it's a very long class. After class I went out to the parking lot to go home, and I realized my car was dead, I left the headlights on FOR THE FIRST TIME! So that's a pretty good record, THREE years of driving and I have never left the headlights on ONCE. So then mom came to the rescue and jumped the car. Then, to ease my stress of the day, I went to Hollywood Video and rented the game "Fight Night: Round 3" and beat a lot of people up. It was fun. Then, I got bored and came to write up this SUPER AWESOME entry. So read it, chew on it, it's delicious.

Out.
